Variations improvement
Can I make some suggestions regarding variations please.
Include the setup of variations within the New Item process
Allow more than 5 photos per item, I have resin items that are made in many colours and would need to create almost identical items in the listing to be able to show the customer all the colours
Link the variation to the photo, i.e. customer choose a red item then show this as the highlighted item, if they then choose a blue one switch the highlighted item to the blue one.
1 voteThanks for the message Tony - we're not working on variations right now and don't plan to in the medium term however, it is something we are keen to improve and we'll look at how we can better support what you need in the short term Plus sellers get 10 images but of course that doesn't help those who aren't Plus sellers.

considero que es una plataforma abierta al intercambio comercial y seria importante abrir la opcion a recibir productos artesanales de otras partes del mundo ..donde las redes no llegan y se puede impulsar el intercambio comercial .. o bien tener algun agente en reino unido que canalice esta artesania ..

how about using "-" to mean EXCEPT.... as in porcelain -button. Its not exactly a new idea, but your system does not recognise "-"
Why does the "minus" sign not work? For instance, porcelain -button -pendant -bunting -bunting = 37,000 items, INCLUDING BUTTONS, bunting, etc. I'd get a shorter list with JUST "porcelain" meanwhile inundated with silly porcelain buttons.
Another example: "hand thrown porcelain mug" = 44,837 matches.
... and not remotely helpful.
Please enable the minus sign to exclude search terms.

We are also planning to allow search results to be filtered by category.
Hopefully those two improvements should remove the need for this feature.

1 voteColour and materials facets enable buyers to refine their search, so they are most effectively used for the main materials used in your products. If there are more than 5 materials used and they are relevant to the item, we would suggest you include them as part of your item description.

combined postage
There needs to be a way that we can manipulate invoices to combine the postage when several different items are posted.

Alternatively you can partially refund the buyer after they have paid via the transaction on your Paypal dashboard

Please could you move 'Inbox' link to more user-friendly position?
I would like to be able to move my 'Inbox' link from its position quite some way down the 'Dashboard' page, up towards the top.
When I have messages to read I'd like to make it easier to find them. Thanks x1 voteMessaging was replaced by email and so messages now come directly to your email inbox.

Please create a DOG TSHIRT as subcategory on GARDEN and PET category; as there is not a subcategory i had put my DOG TSHIRT on DOG COAT
I need a subcategory for my DOG TSHIRTS as there is nome I had add them on DOG COATS category. Thanks

Additional categories on Folksy are created when evidence gathered from our site analytics and users reveals a need. At this time ‘Dog T-Shirts’ would not be necessary addition to the navigation, being too similar to ‘Dog Coats’.

Paying your bill over the phone
I think it should be made possible to be able to pay for your bill in other ways other than paypal. I seem to have nothing but problems paying my bill using the paypal link provided.

Caption pictures
Please can we have the ability to caption pictures? For example, sometimes I might want to show the front and back of something in additional pictures where this might not be obvious from the main photograph.

Remove amount sold in favor for feedback as visible only
Hi there.
Some of us ladies on Facebook were discussing the idea of taking off the badge that shoes the amount of goods that are sold by a shop. The reason behind this is that feedback should be enough to judge a shop , as the amount of goods sold does not mean your goods are not wanted. It just means there not for everyone , as taste differ. Most people I have spoken to look to see how much is sold to judge weather to buy or not, I honestly do not think this is a good way to…1 voteThank you for you contribution to the suggested features on Folksy.
The sold items archive will remain as a useful record of a shop’s recent sales (the last sixty items are displayed). It is not a source of customer satisfaction or an qualitative index of a shop’s worth.
The feedback feature on Folksy is used to review customer comments and it’s this feature that we would look to enhance in future rather than replace an unconnected view on a shop’s sales.

iPad/iPhone app
Would be really handy to have folksy as an app on the iPhone or iPad
1 voteWe’d love to have an iPhone app unfortunately this isn’t a project we’re able to resource.
Whilst not being the same as a dedicated native iOS app the layout and design of Folksy adapts to work on different screen resolutions and widths.
