There needs to be a way that we can manipulate invoices to combine the postage when several different items are posted.

Optionally, you can specify a reduced rate of postage for your items, for buyers who order two or more items from your shop. For more info see:

Alternatively you can partially refund the buyer after they have paid via the transaction on your Paypal dashboard
