How do I pay for an item?

Paypal

All payments are processed through Paypal. The easiest way to pay for an item is therefore to use a Paypal account. If you don’t already have a Paypal account it’s easy to set one up, please follow the instructions below.

Paying without a PayPal account

If you don’t want to register with Paypal you can use a credit or debit card on the Paypal site, as long the seller has enabled this in their Paypal settings.

To do this:

  • add items to your basket items and click on the 'Check out with Paypal' button
  • at the Paypal log in screen look for the link at the bottom that says 'Checkout as a Guest'
  • fill in your payment details and follow the on-screen instructions
  • (optional) if you want to set up a PayPal account during checkout, please select the 'create PayPal account' option at the bottom of the page
If you do not see an option to check out as a guest, the seller may need to update their settings to allow users to checkout without a Paypal account. Please follow the instructions below to place your order and to contact the seller to arrange payment.

Problems with PayPal

The quickest and safest way to pay is by Paypal, so we would always recommend that you go through the Paypal system. However if you are having problems paying, there’s a link at the bottom of the basket taking you to a form where you can detail your problem. That automatically sends an email to the seller and to our support team (as well as to you, confirming your order) letting them know a customer has bought an item but needs help paying.

The seller(s) will be in touch to arrange payment with you as soon as they can. They may update their PayPal settings (if applicable) and send you a PayPal invoice to allow you to try again, or arrange an alternative payment method. Please be aware that the seller(s) may not accept alternative payment methods and your order may be cancelled.
