Adding an alternative to Paypal as a Payment Method
Is it possible to expand the payment options to include something other than Paypal? I know of a lot of people who aren't comfortable using Paypal and it would be good to have a choice of methods rather than just one. I know that we can accept cheques/bank drafts etc and then contact folksy to mark them as paid, but it would be good to offer a different method that was just a couple of clicks rather than a long winded conversation . Since I've been able to accept cards as well as paypal elsewhere, I've found most sales are being made by cards.
(I know that Paypal works extremely well in the majority but always good to offer an alternative Choice)

Customers can now choose to pay either by Paypal or directly by card using Stripe – there’s lots more information about this new payment system and how it works here https://folksy.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1810756-introducing-direct-payments-by-credit-and-debit-ca

I totally agree that we should be able to provide an alternative to PayPal payments by potential customers. I have today received an email from PayPal about some changes they are making and to be honest, I can't make head nor tail of what they are saying and it could affect sales even more!

I have lost a sale as a customer bought an item, didnt have paypal and abandoned the sale. i think we should have alternatives to paypal - like any other craft/auction/buying website has.

As a customer viewing items for sale on this site i have seen many things that i would love to buy but i havent bought them ! This is because you only offer paypal as a method of payment. I dont have a paypal account and quitei honestly i dont want one. I am much happier using my debit or credit cards to purchase online items. I know you will say that paypal is the only secure method of payment online but my bank have an additional security check that pops up everytime i purchase something or pay bills online using my cards. They check the details on your card and they also do a check on the vendor your money is going to. It is only when the security check is complete that they alliow funds to be released to your debit/credit card. I believe that vendors on this site are losing sales due to the restrictions on payment methods. Time to change i think as this is one family who wont be back here until this happens and im sure there are many more people who feel the same way. Sorry guys, as i do think some of your goods are fantastic :-(
