Terms and conditions for Folksy online market stallholders & cancellation policy  

By applying for a place at a Folksy online market you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. We reserve the right to revise and edit these terms and conditions from time to time - please check these terms before applying to our markets to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.   2. To apply to the Folksy online markets you will need to have a Tresstle account. If you are not already a Tresstle member, you may have to pay a one-off registration fee to Tresstle. This registration fee allows you to apply for any event held on Tresstle and other membership benefits. Please note, this registration fee is paid directly to Tresstle, not Folksy - and the transaction is between you and Tresstle.

  3. The Tresstle registration fee will not be refunded if your application to the Folksy market is unsuccessful.

  4. If your application is successful, you will then be charged an event fee to take part. The event charge can be found on the application page - and includes a small admin charge for Tresstle.

  5. If your application to the Folksy market is successful, you will receive an acceptance email with an invoice and details of how to pay. Payment is required within 28 days of notification in order to secure your place at the event. The confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provide on your application form so please check this carefully before submitting. Please note that your place will only be confirmed once the payment has cleared.

  6. You will be notified of the result of your application by email. The email will come from Tresstle not Folksy so please look out for emails from and check your 'junk mail' folder. The event will also appear under ‘accepted applications’ in your 'My Event' tab on Tresstle.

  7. It is your responsibility to complete your profile on Tresstle - including adding the correct link to your Folksy shop and profile image. Folksy can not be held responsible for any incorrect information or links.

  8. Your online market stall must link to your shop on Folksy.

  9. All goods for sale meet our Handmade or Original Design criteria - you can find this here

  10. Stallholders must comply with all UK legislation on goods and services sold, including copyright laws. Please refer to our Product Safety guide, particularly if you sell children’s products or beauty products - The responsibility for complying with relevant legislation lies with you, the seller, so it is vital that you understand the laws that apply to your products as well as other legislation around trading online. Folksy is not responsible for any failure to comply with the law in regards to stallholders’ products.

  11. If the event is cancelled, Folksy is not responsible for costs incurred in your preparation for the market, including but not limited to, stock, equipment or staff costs.

  12. If Folksy cancels an event, stallholders will be refunded the event charge, minus the Tresstle event fee. Your registration charge for Tresstle will not be refunded.

  13. If your application is successful and you have paid but subsequently are unable to take part in an event, please email to notify us. If it is more than 14 days before the event, we will refund 50% of the event fee, minus the Tresstle event fee. No refunds will be provided if less than 14 days notice is provided, regardless of the circumstances. Your registration charge for Tresstle will not be refunded.
