Shop Notification Area
Please please can we have a “Notification” area against each shop where we can put notices.
EG:
1. Please buy something – I’m broke !
2. Moving house – clearout of stock sale before I go
3. Shop will be closed 6th June to 28th June but I will be picking up messages
4.Happy Birthday to me (not today but 4th June but wouldn’t it be nice to be able to announce it)
5. Merry Christmas to all my lovely customers
6. Free P&P today only – will give refund via paypal after you have bought all my lovely stuff
7. Please PIN me, I love it (these last two are topical)
The list is endless but there is nowhere to put such things at the moment as they need to be on the front screen of the shop and highlighted.
If we can please can we have text formatting opportunities as well – even if it is just Bold – so it stands out.
We need this, at the top of our shop page as an addition to the shop description. That is tucked away down the side of the page and is a bit faded and not long enough for a notice as well.
In my case it is number 3 – holiday notice which is very important to me but I am sure that others need it too. See my forum thread on this.

Also when in holiday mode can we add a message especially if we are closed due to a craft fair, then customers would know they can come and view items that they have considered buying but required a closer look.

That is a really good idea, at least if you put your shop on holiday a prospective buyer will know when to come back.

Can i also suggest that this notification be added to every listing page as some customers may come directly to a listing page and not see the shop front page. This would probably mean it needed to be limited number of characters but all the suggestions above are pretty short anyway.
