Add a Phone Number field to sales area for Buyers
Just a thought after the recent buyer problems.
I think you should make the buyer leave a phone number, that way any problem could be resolved quite quickly over the phone.
(It should be stated that the number would not be used for any other purpose)

Sometimes I send orders by courier and they wont collect unless you have a 'phone number for the recipient. It would be much easier if the buyers gave their number when ordering.

Give buyers the option to leave mobile number and state their preference for being texted, called or both :o)

I think it should be an optional field that the buyer can complete 'in case of a query with an order or checkout problems' - it would be a faster and more efficient way to handle such queries/problems, but buyers would have the choice not to give out a number if they don't want to.

I would agree with this, a phone call is often the easiest and quickest way to resolve any issues such as problems during checkout or getting information regarding custom or personalised orders, however I also appreciate that some customers buy online for various reasons and some may find a phone call intrusive or unwelcome so I do think that completion of any field asking for a phone number should be optional and not compulsory in order to purchase.
