I remember thinking that this would be a great addition to the variations feature a while back, before taking a break from the platform. I've now re-opened my Folksy shop, but still there is no option to include quantity numbers at an individual variation level. This would be such a useful feature from a usability point of view. As a working example, I need to list pairs of mismatched earrings, where every individually handcrafted pair differs to another... at the moment I have only one option for listing these, and that's to add all pairs as separate listings - this is a nightmare from a seller's admin point of view, and only makes for a cluttered and confusing shop front for any perspective buyers.
Lovely Folksy bods, I know you're a small team but please can you consider placing Brenda's suggestion from 2019 under review for development? I really do think it will make the Folksy platform a far more appealing place for sellers and buyers (and will mirror what other shop platforms can offer). Many thanks :-)

This is still a great idea, and one I have mentioned previously (but with no joy). I would like to also be able to offer:
- a fixed price discount code (e.g. thank you for your purchase, here's a <<£5>> discount code to spend on your next shop)
- a discount code available at item/category level only (e.g. thank you for your purchase, here's a discount on your next pair of earrings [or] thank you for your purchase, here's a discount on your next pair of dangle earrings). In this instance, the code should not be usable across all jewellery lines... just very specific items/categories. This could be set up at shop level, but have a tick box option in the item listing or category sections, so it can be applied as needed
- a discount code to remove p&p costs, which literally removes the additional p&p on each item at a per order basis (again, to offer as a promo to certain groups of customers e.g. Facebook followers, craft fair attendees, previous buyers)
It is important that "discount codes" are not muddled with "sale items". From a customer comms point of view, just listing individual items with a sale price (that every shop visitor to the shop can see and opt to buy), and popping them into a SALE category for additional prominence is very different to giving a subsection of your audience a discount code that is special just to them, targeted at specific products and based on behaviours and previous interactions.
I'd also suggest that it is important that shop owners are not required to go into each item individually to add temporary product level codes/discounts - it would be preferable to do this at a bulk update level (just like 'bulk edit shipping').
Apologies, that was all a bit wordy - but it really would be incredibly helpful to customers and sellers if we can revolutionise the way 'discounts' work within the Folksy platform. It feels like a request as old as time.
Just imagine if a code could automatically be added to the "thank you for your order" or "your purchase is on its way" emails that go direct from Folksy :-)
