I wish I could have given my customers a discount code for the Easter weekend.

I think this is a necessary tool to run a business.

I'm doing my first craft fair of the season this weekend, with many more booked through the summer. Every customer will get a loyalty card in their bag saying "Thank you, get 10% off your next online order".

It will point them to my Etsy shop where this simple function is available. Sorry Folksy, you lose out again.

This looks like it has been 'under review' for two years now? Any closer to a solution or are your developers on a day rate?

I have an opportunity to get a magazine article with readers offer. I would love to be able offer a discount code

i really need to be able to give a small number of regular customers a monthly discount code. This would also be useful to track the effect of magazine advertising I have planned.

Would love to be able to offer return customers a small discount on their next purchase so being able to create a discount code would be brilliant ............I have this facility in my Etsy shop and several of my customers have taken advantage of it...and lets face it anything that encourages repeat customers can't be bad ...can it????

I'd like to add my vote to having a discount code feature! Sales feature would be great too but agree with every comment about wanting to reward certain customers and promote certain items to a smaller audience.

I would like to encourage my craft fair customers to purchase online by giving them a discount voucher with their purchase.

Me too - I would like this feature; I also have a shop at Etsy and can only offer discount codes there. If I want to give a discount to buyers at Folksy, I have to tell them to leave a message at checkout, so I can refund their paypal account. Not ideal, is it?
Please give us discount codes, that will allow sellers to choose from Either a % Discount Or a Fixed Amount Discount.
It would even be helpful if there was an option to attach the discount to one or more of the Sections in our shop. That would be the "bells & whistles" of Discount Codes!

THis is an absolute must for an online shop and considering the charges applied to us sellers we need to make as many sales as possible with any thing that helps

I've previously emailed about this idea, I'd really love to offer customers a promotion to increase my returning buyers and also to promote elsewhere. I think it would help boost sales for the seller and therefore income for Folksy.

Hi It would help, though I agree with Haldis above - promotions at different times of year which you can achieve through sales functionality but that wouldn't work for customer loyalty or promotions run when selling at craft markets etc.

I totally agree with this- it would be a great tool for increasing sales at low times when there is a natural dip in sales or just after Christmas to have 'January sales' for instance.

I like the idea of a discount code - i use my facebook page to do promos so to say I am offering 10% off this ring, for example - enter this code in check-out on Folksy...would be brilliant...
