  1. Auto Export of sales to QuickBooks

I use quickbooks for accounting and customer payments and to send invoices and record all purchases and expenses like postage. It would be really great if the folksy store could be linked to QuickBooks just like my Amazon Etsy EBay or Woocommerce store and automatically import all customer data and sales data into quick books.

  2. Please change the Search screen format to be more pleasing

    https://talk.folksy.com/t/search-result-images/27689
I have only just realised why when I go to the Search screen it looks so unpleasing and it is because it is a totally different format from the rest of the site. I love the look of the Folksy front page (nearly all square images and a neat 4 to a line. Same as our shop pages. I find these visually pleasing.

The Search screen is one of the first things a new visitor to the site is likely to see. Why then does it have this weird format of rectangular, cropped pictures, 3 to a line and…

  3. New Jewellery Category

Please consider adding "Fine Silver" as a materials category for those of us who work in silver clay - its 99% pure silver, Sterling is 92.5%!

  4. Encouraging the value of crafted items

We are damaging our planet by over emphasis on constantly having new things, this is encouraged by large multinational encouraging the latest season and the quality declines. With hand crafted items we should value the time and effort that goes in to them and so should discourage the constant obsession with new designs. If Folky was to adopt this attitude may be everyone would stop re-listing their items to make them look new.

  6. Is it possible to have a toys main section

Is it possible to have a main heading for toys as it's currently under homewares, for example I have put my car and pencil wraps under nursery and playroom but would they ever be found there?

  7. Thumbnails link to actual items?

I've found it frustrating when shopping that I'll see something interesting on the front page, or as a thumbnail for a category, and then when I click on it it takes me to a page of related listings but not the one in the image (unless I scroll through a couple of pages - sometimes it's not there at all!)

Is there a way to make sure that if an item is used as a thumbnail/tease image that it actually appears in the page that that click leads you to?

  8. Targeted discount codes - BOGOF and multi purchase options?

Can we have the option for targeted discounts rather than discounts applying to the whole of a store.
The ability to tag individual listings would be an easy fix and would be quicker and more professional than editing listings with separate write downs etc.

Folksy should also implement codes for BOGOF and multi purchase discounts.

  9. streamline the relisting

    Stream-line the relisting process

Currently, to relist your items you have to resort the items by the date, then click on all of the items, then relist, then wait for the next page to load - to then click confirm relist and then finally, it is relisted. Then you have to do the same thing over and over.

Please can we stream line the process so we dont have to click, I would love if the confirm page could be removed or if there was a "Relist all" option so we dont have to go page by page to relist.

  10. Collection Descriptions

It would be great if there could be a format where we could add a description at the top of each Collection page.

  11. Obvious feedback tab needed

I've got a shop here and have no feedback, I've just purchased items and not been able to find the feedback tab to leave feedback - please make it obvious so that a buyer can find it without looking ( I've still not found it!)

  12. More categories

As I'm a maker of sketchbooks and other various handbound books they don't quite fit into any category on the website yet (my mini's arent scrapbooks or stationary either). Im sure other things from other makers don't fit into the categories that are on the site either? The previous idea on more categories didn't seem to get solved, only having "collections" on your shop changed. Looking at it as a customer to this website for the first time the categories the website has for browsing is small. As a seller, my items don't fit into any of the categories that…

  13. An improved description for the Scotland gift guide

Suggest making it more arts and crafts focused - current description is quite stereotypical and patronising and misses the opportunity to highlight a strong craft tradition.

  14. A sub category in the jewellery section for gift sets/ jewellery sets

I have made a number of matching gift sets containing more than one item i.e. earrings and a pendant. Sometimes a bracelet too.

As it currently stands when I add them to Folksy I list them under pendant/necklaces and then add my own shop collection, but if a customer is browsing Folksy home page (rather than navigating an individual shop) would it be a fair option to have a ‘gift set’ option in the jewellery menu?

Apologies if this has been asked before. The first time I posted the suggestion I accidentally hit the back button.

  15. Postage to Germany (and other countries with similar postal regulations)

Germany have introduced packaging regulations which are complicated and make it uneconomical for small sellers to continue selling there. This involves paying a fee and declaring / estimating the packaging you will use annually etc. I had hoped that this did not apply to small sellers, however information available on the internet suggests that it does and that a large fee may be incurred for anyone who does not comply. As a result of this legislation many sellers no longer sell to anywhere in Europe (as can't eliminate Germany from postal options) or have put a notice on their account…

  17. folksy.it short links available to us for twitter/fb etc.

I'd love to have access to the folksy.it short links for my product listings, as I think it's great to let people know on twitter and fb what they are clicking on without using a massive untidy looking link.

I know fb previews links, but often I want to actually upload a photo of the product and put the link in the photo description as this looks bigger and better than linking directly to an item on fb.

  18. Please have a category for Cake toppers eg. Food art under Sculpture or a Confectionary section not just under weddings

  19. I would like the customer to be able to see how many time an item has been re listed.

When customers look at things in Folksy shops they have no indication how long ago the item was made. People want to have the newest and freshest ideas and not 'old' stock, that may be looking a bit tired.
This can only improve the reputation of Folksy for having wonderful new inventive ideas, keep Folksy shopkeepers refreshing their stocks regularly and have contented customers who are not disappointed with what they receive through the post, which is bought, don't forget after only seeing a photo.

I think it's better to get something that is better than you expected than less…

  20. Stock identification numbers

It would be useful for us to be able to give each item we list an individual stock number when listing an item so we can easily identify which item has been sold.
For instance our seaweed themed decorations are all slightly different but very similar to look at on a photo online. I label each item here before it goes into stock but when one is sold on Folksy i have to go by the pictures to know which particular one has been ordered. Having a stock number would tell me instantly which item to go to.
