  2. I would like the customer to be able to see how many time an item has been re listed.

    When customers look at things in Folksy shops they have no indication how long ago the item was made. People want to have the newest and freshest ideas and not 'old' stock, that may be looking a bit tired.
    This can only improve the reputation of Folksy for having wonderful new inventive ideas, keep Folksy shopkeepers refreshing their stocks regularly and have contented customers who are not disappointed with what they receive through the post, which is bought, don't forget after only seeing a photo.

    I think it's better to get something that is better than you expected than less…

  3. Stock identification numbers

    It would be useful for us to be able to give each item we list an individual stock number when listing an item so we can easily identify which item has been sold.
    For instance our seaweed themed decorations are all slightly different but very similar to look at on a photo online. I label each item here before it goes into stock but when one is sold on Folksy i have to go by the pictures to know which particular one has been ordered. Having a stock number would tell me instantly which item to go to.

  4. Link to Folksy interview for featured sellers.

    Would it be possible for previous featured sellers to have a link to their Folksy interview where the star is presently - ?

    It may help in promoting in yourself as you can share your processes etc, and people can find out more about the maker if they want to.

  5. Use crowd funding to start advertising campaign

    I'm new to folksy, I have just subscribed to a plus account. I deliberated over it quite a bit because of Folksy's poor general exposure compared to some of its rivals. I get it you don't want to sell your soul to the devil, but that excuse only gets you so far. If you conduct yourself ethically then whats the problem with increased traffic, sales, exposure. I also get the catch 22, No bucks No Buck Rogers! So if the Folksy community gets it, then they won't mind if you ask them to help and use crowd funding to fuel…

  7. Random display of new listings etc

    Need to mix up new listings and those in gift guides so customers don’t see pages of the the same shop. It looks awful and I would give up.

  8. Being able to search completed (already sold) listings.

    This is something that eBay has which is a good way of looking at what prices similar things to yours have sold at, so you can price your item reasonably for the buyer and you don't have to hang around for ages before realising your item is priced too expensively. Also good for buyers to find out what's a reasonable price.

  10. When listing an item sellers are required to put in a date when it was made.

    I click the blank space at the top of the month column and put in the year. When the item is added to my shop the month shown is January.
    WHY IS THE BLANK SPACE THERE IF IT IS NOT AN OPTION NOT HAVE A MONTH?

    Any one else frustrated by this?

  11. Making more of commissions being non-returnable

    I've recently had a nasty experience with commissions being returned as unsuitable. I've been with Folksy over 4 years and done several commissions and never had them returned and in my trusting way, I changed what I'd made and ended up refunding the buyer. I wasn't aware of the no return clause, having not needed it,but this has ended up costing me two lots of postage,though the items are now relisted, plus the time to make.
    I'd like the no return of commissions to be emphasised more,because my only commissions have just been from the ready-made pieces asking for alternative…

  12. Collections Menu at the side on product pages

    It would be really great if there could be a side menu of our collections when customers click on individual product pages. It would make navigation much easier for them, as they could go back into the collection they were in to look at more products, or switch categories. It saves them time when ordering multiple items, and makes our stores much more user friendly.

  14. Environmental Statement

    I was wondering if there were any plans to have an environmental policy statement/section for shops? I would be keen to have this as a link in the top section of my shop, similar to the links for ‘Buying from me’ and ‘Privacy policy’.

    At the moment I’m listing some of my environmental standards in my ‘About’ section but as information that’s put there is freeform and individual to each seller, as a buyer I wouldn’t necessarily know to look there to get this kind of information. A brand’s environmental standards are certainly something that affect my purchase decisions and…

  15. Request customer mobile phone number at checkout

    Many (most?) couriers require a phone number as well as an email address for deliveries but Folksy does not ask customers to provide a phone number. In order to place an order with the courier I usually use my own mobile phone number. This means the customer does not receive parcel tracking text messages. Also, occasionally a courier may have trouble locating a property and if they have a phone number they will call the customer. I think is would be useful if Folksy requested (not required) a mobile phone number at checkout.Interested to know if others agree.

  16. Videos for listings please

    Not sure if this has been suggested before but a video of our listings would be so useful.
    I find using videos on Instagram produces more interest and really highlights my work as well as photos. So it would be great to have this option

  18. New material option for Spoon

    I make a lot of spoon jewellery, and used to add spoon as a material option. There is now an automatic option for wooden spoon and bead, meaning I can't use the word spoon. Please add this as an option. Thanks

  19. New Subcategory Under Weddings for Flowers Please

    Hey, I'm a Faux Florist specialising in Wedding Flowers. When I go to list my corsages and buttonholes there is no dedicated category for them.

    I feel like my work has no place.
    Instead of having it under stationery and accessories (which is not even correct because people will assume it means stationery accessories)
    Please have a section under Weddings as Flowers, in that Flowers section you have Bouquets, Corsages, Buttonholes, Hair Flowers, Cake flowers, Flower arrangements and Other

    It would be a massive help for myself and others to fit into the wedding section.

  20. New listings automatically go to top of first shop page

    When you list a new item it goes automatically to the top of your front page instead of at the bottom of the last page. The shopkeeping page is a nightmare to move stuff around. It's slow and getting slower and hard to move items.
