Is there a plan to have a search function within the seller dashboard?
my shop is getting bigger and I'm struggling to find outdated tags to update or items I need to copy to create new ones (the thumbnails are too small too) so wondered if there is a plan by folksy designers to add a search function to the backend of our shops to make navigating around listings easier and quicker?
it could pick up the titles and tags only and I'd be super happy.!17 votes -

A sub category in the jewellery section for gift sets/ jewellery sets
I have made a number of matching gift sets containing more than one item i.e. earrings and a pendant. Sometimes a bracelet too.
As it currently stands when I add them to Folksy I list them under pendant/necklaces and then add my own shop collection, but if a customer is browsing Folksy home page (rather than navigating an individual shop) would it be a fair option to have a ‘gift set’ option in the jewellery menu?
Apologies if this has been asked before. The first time I posted the suggestion I accidentally hit the back button.

Sub category under bracelets & bangles for jewellery
My jewellery is all made using crystals. Currently for my earrings & necklaces I have the option of "gemstones" as a subcategory but gemstones doesn't appear under bracelets & bangles, so I have to list them as "beaded".
If we can have gemstones under necklaces, pendants & earrings, can we have gemstones under bracelets & bangles please2 votes -
Ability to add tracking number to order/dispatch emails
Hi all
I send high value items and always use a tracked service.
I think it would be really useful if when marking an item as shipped, i could also add the tracking reference.I understand that I can email the customer with this info, but it would be great if that info was in their dispatch email/folksy account.
what do you all think?
Thank you, Corinne x

Would be great to have a "click & collect " option for local buyers
Buyers could save postage and could also meet face to face (masked of course!)

Searchable Orders
Sometimes I want to be able to look back at an order so the ability to search would be useful. Perhaps see if a customer has ordered from me before. Orders don’t seem to stay chronological either which doesn’t help.

Statistics to see quantity of items sold
It would be useful to easily see the total quantities sold of each item. And an exportable list that shows the item, the number sold, and when

Make colour tags searchable
I was surprised to find that colour tags aren't searchable when you're using the search bar - which I think will be how most people use the site. Could they be made searchable the same way ordinary tags are? Sometimes there is more than one way to describe a colour and it looks odd if the description is peppered with alternative colour names - the tags are surely a better place.

gemstone option for bracelets
There is currently no 'gemstone' category when listing bracelets however there is for other jewellery items. Suggest this is added.

Add a section for Unisex jewellery
Currently I have to decide whether to list some items as mens jewellery versus large sized womens jewellery where it is in fact suitable for both. Would be good to be able to list it as unisex.

Conditional Discount Codes
It will greatly increase sales to have conditional discount codes for our shops. At present the only type of discount code functionality is a whole-of-order flat rate discount which is unsuitable for running specific promotions.
It's far better to have conditional codes for specific campaigns, a few examples:
- x% off items in a specific shop category
- "three for two" pricing
- BOGOF
- x% off when you buy x number or more items
- spend £x or more and get x% off
There are lots of variations that can be created for specific discounts all of which will encourage more sales.

Use crowd funding to start advertising campaign
I'm new to folksy, I have just subscribed to a plus account. I deliberated over it quite a bit because of Folksy's poor general exposure compared to some of its rivals. I get it you don't want to sell your soul to the devil, but that excuse only gets you so far. If you conduct yourself ethically then whats the problem with increased traffic, sales, exposure. I also get the catch 22, No bucks No Buck Rogers! So if the Folksy community gets it, then they won't mind if you ask them to help and use crowd funding to fuel…

An improved description for the Scotland gift guide
Suggest making it more arts and crafts focused - current description is quite stereotypical and patronising and misses the opportunity to highlight a strong craft tradition.

Request customer mobile phone number at checkout
Many (most?) couriers require a phone number as well as an email address for deliveries but Folksy does not ask customers to provide a phone number. In order to place an order with the courier I usually use my own mobile phone number. This means the customer does not receive parcel tracking text messages. Also, occasionally a courier may have trouble locating a property and if they have a phone number they will call the customer. I think is would be useful if Folksy requested (not required) a mobile phone number at checkout.Interested to know if others agree.

It would be really useful if 'Listings' was one of the options on the drop-down menu
It would be really useful if, after editing an item you could simply go to the menu and choose 'listings' rather than having to click on dashboard and then listings.

Add "view in browser" to emails
For some reason, emails from folksy never show pictures just blue question marks. It's quite likely something to do with my computer blocking them, but I'm probably not the only one. Could you add a 'view in browser' link to the email so I (and anyone else having problems) can see the email?
